Meet the Cairns Youth Council Candidates

Cairns Regional Council is partnering with the Foundation for Young Australians to launch the Young Mayors program; a Youth Council of young people 13 to 17 from Cairns.

We are excited to invite you to the first ever event to Meet the Candidates! This is your chance to meet the young people running for election on the Youth Council, share your ideas with them and hear their vision for Cairns. 

While only 11 to 17 year olds can vote in the election, we welcome people of all ages to this event.

Date: Monday 9 October 2023
Time: 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start. The event will finish at 7.30pm.
Light snacks and drinks will be provided
