Kergen is a 26-year-old in Garramilla / Darwin on Larrakia Country, working in governance and leadership development with a passion for representative decision-making. Kerg is committed to changing governance models which center communities collaborating in representative decision-making.
Currently, Kerg is setting up the Northern Territory Youth Parliament as well as building local leadership programs that support young people build their capacity for independence through to board-and-community-level decision-making.
Kerg holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, is completing his Australian Institute of Company Directors Course accreditation, and was previously a committee chair at the Victorian Youth Congress and a committee member at the Y Australia.
