My vision for Wollongong is a thriving community where young people have equitable access to social and financial support and are equipped to deal with the upcoming challenges their lives and our future as a society holds.
The issues I most care about are poverty in our local area, accessibility to social and financial support and also our environment.
Every young person in Wollongong should have an adequate standard of living, access to free and helpful mental health support, a great education and have access to tools and programs which improve their future and our future in Wollongong as a whole.
If elected, I plan to advocate for improvements in our youth-friendly spaces in town, financial literacy in schools and implement reliable recycling programs in schools. Additionally, I would love to see more varied work experience and job opportunities for the young people of Wollongong. We shouldn’t miss out on things just because we don’t live in the city!
Young people will experience so many challenges throughout their life and its so important that we have the support and accessibility we need to become great people who will have great futures.
