Honest | Respectful | Resilient
My vision for Wollongong is a vibrant, inclusive community where youth feel safe and supported, celebrating our diversity and multiculturalism while fostering unity among all residents.
Cultural Inclusivity and Awareness: I am dedicated to supporting diversity training and cultural celebrations for youth that promote cultural competence, anti-racism, and inclusion. These initiatives will cultivate understanding and respect for different backgrounds, creating a united community where everyone feels valued.
Safe Spaces and Anti-Bullying Initiatives: I will advocate for safe spaces in schools and community centres where young people can express themselves freely and seek support from peers. Additionally, I will promote anti-bullying campaigns and educational programs to raise awareness and empower students to stand against bullying, fostering a culture of kindness and respect in our community.
Mental Health and Well-Being: I am committed to advocating for accessible mental health resources and support services for youth in Wollongong. By promoting awareness and reducing stigma, I aim to create a safe environment where young people feel comfortable seeking help and sharing their experiences. Providing these resources will empower them to build resilience and prioritise their mental well-being.
