National Youth Media Training
This new national training is for youth-led movements and organisations working on campaigns to beat injustice and elevate youth voice.
We’re delivering two free media training sessions in October 2021 for young people who want to understand how to use the media better as a tool for advocacy in their communities and movements.
Both training sessions will help you engage the media for the causes and campaigns you care about and strengthen your confidence in sharing your lived experience with the media safely and effectively.

When: Thursday 21 October, 6-8pm AEST
Co-facilitated with a young journalist, in this 2-hour introductory session you’ll develop techniques to help your youth-led organisation or movement to respond quickly and make the most of media moments to drive interest and awareness of your campaign.

This in-depth session will provide you with the vital media skills required to maximise your campaigning and advocacy from understanding the media landscape to building compelling stories, practicing your pitching to interview skills.
